WhatsApp users may be forced to get a new phone to get their messages as the company has put in place more blocks.
The new blocks will especially be affecting those who use Windows phone as the company justified its reason to be the need to focus on platforms that are only used by majority of people, Express UK reports.
Reports do not yet know when the new blocks will be arriving, but fillers say it may be soon as there are also indications that WhatsApp colour scheme has also been abandoned.
A message on Twitter by WABetainfo also hinted at the facts that aside there would colour changes in to WhatsApp, there is an expectation that the chatting platform will now have a dark mode feature common with other social media apps.
Users, however, are waiting for when the new dark mode feature will go live on normal WhatsAppp app aside the beta version.
Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that WhatsApp announced that it would stop working on all Windows smartphones as from December 2019.
That meant the chatting app would no longer operate on all mobile phones running on Windows operating system
WhatsApp also warned that some features of the app may stop working at any time before the service is totally pulled off on Microsoft powered devices.
"You'll no longer be able to use all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019
"Because we no longer actively develop for these operating systems, some features might stop functioning at any time,” the company said.
